What Is Amazon Shopper Panel?
Amazon Shopper Panel is a market research program launched by Amazon to gather insights about consumer shopping habits.
Once you’ve joined, you can submit up to 10 non-Amazon receipts per month through the Amazon Shopper Panel app and earn rewards. Additionally, you may answer surveys to earn more rewards.
The data collected through this program is used to improve Amazon’s product selection, the products it recommends and to provide Amazon with pricing info. It’s a bit of a win-win situation where we get rewarded for our old receipts and Amazon gains a better understanding of general shopping habits.
The program which was already popular in the USA, was launched in the UK in March 2022. Lucky us :)
How Do You Get An Invite To Amazon Shopper Panel?
If you’re an Amazon customer you may be selected to get an invite to join the program. You then download the Amazon Shopper Panel app to get started. If you’re a customer already and haven’t received an invitation, you can download the app and then join the waiting list.
Once joined, you can start snapping receipts and completing surveys to earn rewards.
The program currently lets you upload up to 10 receipts per month from a whole range of shops, including supermarkets and high street department stores among others.
The receipts must be from things you’ve bought within the last 30 days. To submit a receipt, you simply take a picture of it using the scanner on the app.
The app also offers ad verification rewards, which allow Amazon to know about the ads that you see. This feature can be enabled through the app and you can earn an additional £2 per month.
How Long Is The Waitlist On Amazon Shopper Panel?
The waitlist length varies. According to a Reddit post, one user reported being on the waitlist for over 6 months.
Most people seem to be accepted into the program within a few weeks although Amazon has not officially disclosed any specific timeframe for the waitlist.
How Much Does This App Pay?
Getting paid is in the form of Amazon vouchers. For every 10 receipts you submit in a month you earn a reward of £5. From scanning receipts, the monthly maximum you can earn is £5.
You can also earn a little extra by completing quick surveys through the app. The number of surveys varies, but they usually don’t take longer than 30 seconds and you’ll earn anywhere up to 50p per survey taken.
On top of this the app offers ad verification rewards. Amazon want to know about the ads that you see while you’re using their app and you can earn an additional £2per month.
No, it’s not big money but it’s very little work and every penny counts, right?!
